Membership in Long Island Paranormal Investigators

If you would like to join LIPI you will need to fill out the form below. Also be sure to scroll down and read through all the terms and conditions that all members are held to. If you are not able to meet all the requirements you will not be able to join.

In reviewing prospective members, all must meet the following terms and conditions

​

  • Must be 18 or older with a valid identification. 

  • Able to meet up on Thursday nights from 7:45p.m. to 12a.m.

  • Office hours mandatory 1 hour per month (any night other than Thursday)

  • Available once per month on Friday or Saturday night form 8p.m. – 1a.m.

  • Must have reliable transportation and participate in the driving schedule

  • Must be able to attend 1 trip per year (most trips from Friday – Sunday)

  • Must have a valid drivers license

  • Able to pay $15 monthly membership fee

  • Must have a cell phone that can accept texting

  • Must have unlimited access to email and internet

  • Able to do work at home if needed

  • Must be able to complete evidence analysis in a timely manor at home or during office hours

  • Must be able to follow directions and respect and obey the chain of command

  • Able to work as a team with members and guests of L.I.P.I.

  • Exhibit critical analytical thinking

  • Able to use scientific field equipment and a strong desire to learn about the investigation equipment and techniques we use and apply them on investigations

  • Dedicated to the goals and standards of L.I.P.I.

  • Must be open minded to paranormal theories and concepts

  • Must have a strong motivation and eagerness to investigate the paranormal

  • Needs to be good spirited, and have a positive attitude

  • Able to take paranormal exams when given.

  • No experience is required.

All prospective members are required to show proper photo identification, complete our membership application and additional forms, be interviewed by officers of LIPI, and satisfactorily complete a probationary period. Other terms, requirements and/or stipulations may apply.
