In May 2006
Long Island Paranormal investigators took part in the first TAPS
Paranormal Weekend. This weekend event was held at the Fairfield Marriot
hotel in Warwick, RI and was hosted by
Darkness Radio and
The Atlantic
Paranormal Society (TAPS). LIPI members had the opportunity to meet TAPS
members and speak at length on a variety of paranormal subjects and topics
of paranormal research and investigation. Long Island Paranormal
Investigators joined TAPS members in a group investigation of the hotel,
which is allegedly haunted (Click Here to read
about all our investigations at this hotel).
The weekend began
on Friday May 5th with a presentation by TAPS members Keith and Carl Johnson
("the Twins"). They gave a very insightful lecture on demonic hauntings &
possessions and a brief discussion of the vampire legends of New England. The
brothers took turns presenting amazing (and powerful) video and audio evidence
obtained during both personal and TAPS group investigations of demonic
hauntings. Keith and Carl presented their list of the characteristics of a demonic haunting or
possession. They defined what an
inhuman haunting is, and provided some ideas
and insights for dealing with an inhuman demonic haunting situation. They also
presented several dramatic EVPs obtained on their investigations. After the lecture
Long Island Paranormal Investigators members spoke with Keith and Carl
Johnson regarding their EVP research. The Johnson's offered their assistance to
LIPI if we should encounter a demonic haunting.
