EVP Evidence of Paranormal Activity Collected by
Long Island Paranormal Investigators

The following are collections of EVPs (Electronic Voice Phenomena) collected by Long Island Paranormal Investigator members while on investigations. Please see our list of recent investigations for more information about our investigations at these locations. (Note: Some EVPs may require headphones to properly hear and review)

For more information about the EVP phenomena please see our Paranormal Theories page.

EVPs Recorded at Suffolk County Potters Field

EVP 1

Date: June 2006
Description: This EVP was recorded in the field along the East side. It appears to be a man’s voice saying “Over here.” Several unusual lights were sighted just inside the tree line that night but no persons were contacted or seen.

EVPs Recorded at Reid’s Ice Cream Factory

EVP 1

Date: October 2005
Description: This EVP was recorded in the middle of the remaining open lot (at the time of the this investigation) which would be about the middle of the factory building. The first voice is LIPI Lead Investigator Michael Cardinuto asking for someone to check the area with an IR thermometer. Then you will hear a deep, gravelly voice saying “Yes”. It’s not anyone on the investigation!

EVP 2

Date: December 2005
Description: This EVP was also recorded in the middle of the remaining open lot (at the time of the this investigation) which would be about the middle of the factory building. You can hear a voice, apparently male, saying “Rasheed” or “Russian” or something similar. It’s very Class C.

EVPs Recorded at Hanging Tree

EVP 1

Date: December 2005
Description: This EVP was recorded in the open area before the tree. You can hear a voice saying “Peter” and it repeats two more times quickly at lower levels.

EVP 2

Date: December 2005
Description: Another  EVP recording from the same investigation that also contains a voice saying “Peter”.

EVP 3

Date: December 2005
Description: This EVP was recording at the tree. LIPI members Tim Hall and Moshin (“Mo”) Marghoob thought they had seen a shadow run past us (behind us) the path leading parallel to the water while we were at the tree. In this recording you can first hear Tim speak, then LIPI Lead Investigator Michael Cardinuto say “But there is no people” and immediately as he says it you hear a voice say “I” or “Hi”.

EVP 4

Date: December 2005
Description: This EVP was also recording at the tree very shortly after EVP #3 was recorded. LIPI members Tim Hall and Moshin (“Mo”) Marghoob thought they had seen a shadow run past us (behind us) the path leading parallel to the water while we were at the tree. In this recording you can first hear Mo speak, then LIPI Lead Investigator Michael Cardinuto exclaim a profanity at this frustration over improper use of equipment. As Mike begins to speak you hear a voice say “Slice” or “Silence”. This appears to to the same voice that says “I” or “Hi” in EVP #3!

EVP 5

Date: March 2006
Description: This EVP was recorded at the tree. You will hear the voice of one of our members commenting that we should return to the spot mid-week when there is less chance of kids being there. Then you hear a voice clearly saying “Yes!” A very strong Class A EVP.

EVP 6

Date: May  2008
Description: This Class B EVP was recorded near the tree. You will hear the voice of one of our members commenting to another investigator to watch their step. As the investigator is talking there is another voice that speaks over his. We are not sure what it is saying.”

EVPs Recorded at Revolutionary War Historic Site

EVP 1

Date: September 2007
Description: This EVP was recorded in the middle of the grave yard. As you hear the voice of LIPI EVP Specialist Jaiem Fleischmann’s voice another louder voice speaks over his. We believe it is saying “Look here”. Of particular interest is that exactly 10 seconds after this EVP is recorded Jaiem and investigator Michael Bainbridge both note hearing what sounds like foot steps next to them!

EVPs Recorded at Ronkonkoma County Park

EVP 1

Date: July 2006
Description: This EVP was recorded approximately 18 minutes into the investigation while walking down the path that leads to the pond. You will hear members of LIPI talking. Near the end of the recording you will hear a high pitched voice (female?) saying “Help! Get off (or Get it off) me!” We are not sure if this is an entity repeating back our own comments (we were discussing someone we know saying something very similar a few moments before) perhaps mocking us or an actual authentic/original EVP. It is also interesting to note the same sound was recorded on our video of the investigation. The video proves this sound is not one of our group nor radio or ambient sound.

EVP 2

Date: October 2007
Description: This EVP was recorded on the path that leads from the clearing to the pond. You will hear investigators Jaiem Fleischmann and Mike Bainbridge talking. Near the end there is a voice saying “Jay” or “Jaiem”!

EVPs Recorded at Five Corners Cemetery

EVP 1

Date: August 2006
Description: This strong Class A EVP was recorded in the middle of the cemetery. It appears to be a man’s voice saying “Book”. The significance of this is unknown.

EVPs Recorded at Mount Misery Rd

EVP 1

Date: September 2006
Description: This recording was made along the main path deep inside Site 2.  In this segment the voice appears to be saying “Please let me out”.

EVP 2

Date: September 2006
Description: In this part of the encounter the entity is clearly heard saying “Woman”. There were 2 female investigators with us on this investigation.

EVP 3

Date: September 2006
Description: In this part of the encounter you first hear EVP Specialist Jaiem Fleischmann ask for the name of anyone here with LIPI. This is spoken aloud, not transmitted over the radio. Less than 2 seconds later you hear the voice say “My name is <unintelligible>” in response!

EVPs Recorded at Burlington Prison

EVP 1

Date: May 2007
Description: This is a Class B EVP recorded in the basement level by EVP Specialist Jaiem Fleischmann. It was recorded in the main hallway just outside the prisoner workshop. It has been confirmed not to be the voice of any of the female investigators present (only one female investigator was in the area at the time and she was halfway down the hallway away from this location). Opinion differs as to what is being said. Some think it is a female voice saying “Please help” while others think is a woman saying “So hungry”. It is because of this uncertainty the EVP is classified as B.

EVPs Recorded at Rolling Hills Asylum

EVP 1
WARNING! – Extreme content!
Date: August 2007
Description: This EVP was recorded in the HQ/Cafe room at 3:30am (remember that directly below the Cafe/HQ room is the basement electric shock therapy room). The voices are the LIPI investigators organizing for the final “shadow search” of the investigation. There are two EVPs in this recording, one at the beginning and a softer one near the end. The content of this EVP speaks for itself. May be too intense for some people!

EVP 2

Date: August 2007
Description: This recording was made in the 2nd floor East Wing hall way at approximately 5:30am. First you will hear EVP specialist Jaiem Fleischmann ask for 2-taps as a reply to a question. Then you will here 2 taps! No one else was on the floor at this time.
